Unclogging a Frost Free Refrigerator's Condensate Drain. As I worked on making this video, I got a few surprises and learned some things weren't quite as I expected them to be based on the repair of this problem with other refrigerators. It didn't turn out to be the authoritative "how to" video that I had hoped it would be. In any event, the repair seems to have been effective and this video is still useful.
This video discusses a common problem with any sort of self-defrosting refrigerator, freezer or combination appliance. After a number of years, the water drains become plugged up and unable to function. The result is water collecting where it should not.
I believe the water that ended up dripping onto the motor run capacitor was actually traveling downward in a space between the inner and outer walls of the refrigerator as a result of the overflow.
